We are a completely mobile company and come to the customers work site to complete all of our work. We can cut and program virtually any key or remote for automobiles on site, as well ad open car doors at any location in the metro area, generally within 30 minutes.

What should and shouldn't people do if they're locked out of their home?

A person locked out of their home should call a bonded locksmith and ask if they can pick the lock on the home. Most locks can be picked, but in some cases the lock may have to be drilled out to enter the home. Ask for the pricing and if that price is guaranteed and the time for arrival. I would want this person to be able to identify themselves upon arrival with a wrapped vehicle and be dressed in a clean and neat uniform.

If someone loses their house keys, do they need to change their locks as a safety precaution?

Generally, they do not need to change the hardware, but they should have the locks that are existing re-keyed so that should the new ones be found, they could not be used to gain entrance to the property.

What are some of the most common problems with home locks?

Many homeowners will purchase inexpensive locks for their homes and the old adage of you get what you pay for, certainly rings true here. A solid, high quality lock set should be a priority. If property installed by a professional, this should give the Homeowner the peace of mind they are seeking.

Can you briefly talk about how a locksmith would solve those problems?

A trained locksmith will inspect the area to be installed and make sure that all of the parts are installed correctly and that they are functioning the way they should be with complete solid closure of the door.

Do you have any tips for someone who wants to install a keypad lock?

Yes, higher a professional. Keypads can be tricky and it is imperative that they have clearance and the tolerances for the lock are met at manufacturers recommendations.
