Prime Food, Prime Service at New York Prime Steakhouse

Myrtle Beach is famous for its vacation attractions. Adding to the attraction is New York Prime, a steakhouse that has been delivering quality food and service for twenty years. Vacationers and residents alike will find an enjoyable experience at the restaurant that's been voted "Best Steakhouse."

New York Prime describes itself as "a different kind of steakhouse." Amber Stewart, the Director of Marketing, explains that this is due to the quality of the meat. The steakhouse is proud to serve beef that the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) graded as prime. According to the proprietor, Jerry Greenbaum, "only the top 3% of all beef is graded prime." Obviously, this is a rare yet delicious achievement. To achieve this quality, the steaks are aged at least four weeks, which creates an abundance of flavor. The filets are barrel cuts, so they contain no gristle, chains, or V-cut heads.

Chefs are trained to broil the steaks and chops to exact temperatures, creating a perfect amount of caramelization. The restaurant believes that customers can truly taste the differences on how meat is cut, aged, and cooked, so they prepare nothing but the best and most flavorful steaks. However, Myrtle Beach's steakhouse is a prime choice for more than just its steak. This restaurant puts the same amount of care and attention into all of its dishes. The Idaho jumbo potatoes are all at least one pound, and they are always fresh; and the breads are handmade daily in a delicious European style. Even the drinks are high quality: the extensive wine list, which is sure to offer a flavor for each preference, was hand selected by owners who hold several years of experience in the wine industry. Further, the coffee comes from a New Orleans producer and is brewed to the restaurant's specifications.

This steakhouse goes beyond food quality; the restaurant focuses on overall value, which includes the service and atmosphere. As Greenbaum writes on the website, the "restaurant environment has been carefully pre-engineered for comfort." The music is controlled with exactness to produce a specific energy level, and the owners went so far as to strictly consider the seating. The booths and tables were designed "to exact height for comfort." During the day, the windows allow in cozy sunlight to accompany guests' meals. At night, the dim restaurant lighting creates a relaxing atmosphere while the mirrors along the wall open up the room. New York Prime is a family-owned restaurant that is committed to quality. The steakhouse is successful in this endeavor, from the high-grade meat to the familial and cozy atmosphere. As Greenbaum writes, New York Prime strives "to be the Mercedes of steakhouse by offering the very best." And guests are sure to experience the best with prime food and service.
